Cynthia Cooper has practiced hand therapy for 28 years, and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1991, the inaugural year.  She has presented papers nationally and internationally, and has publications in hand therapy and occupational therapy journals and textbooks.  She is the editor of a new curriculum textbook on hand therapy, Fundamentals of Hand Therapy: Clinical Reasoning and Treatment Guidelines for Common Diagnoses of the Upper Extremity, publishe by Mosby in 2006.  An active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), Cynthia has persented countless times at the ASHT Annual meeting, and has been recognized for her work on winning exhibits.
