Matt Shuey is the clinical director of Spooner Physical Therapy in Ahwatukee. He has been a therapist for Spooner Physical Therapy since he received his doctorate from Northern Arizona University in 2002. Matt started as a PT technician at the Scottsdale location in January of 1997. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist, and treats a variety of athletes and general orthopaedic patients. His clinical interests involve the cervical spine and neck, as well as the foot/ankle complex, although he has extensive training in all areas of orthopaedic rehabilitation. Matt promotes wellness through exercise specific to individual needs. He incorporates several methods, including manual therapy, into his rehabilitation and uses what is best for the patient. Matt's hobbies include basketball, golf, and fishing. Matt and his wife have two daughters, Mackenzie and Tessa.
