Areas of Interest:
With children becoming more sedentary due to economic cutbacks in Physical Education at the school level, I really want to engage youth with more physical outlets with the hope that they maintain physical fitness throughout life. I also have a interest working with middle age to geriatric population to help decrease the health related risks that accompany a sedentary life-style. A big passion of mine is sports-specific training to help athletes excel in competition in hopes of making it to the next level of their respective sports.
Experience/Ahtletic Awards:
Growing up in rural Western Nebraska I was involved in many athletics. I have experience in the sports of basketball, volleyball, soccer and cross country. During my college years I was very involved with power lifting and starting competing. I currently hold a South Dakota State record in one of the power lifting events. Currently I am still active in my own personal fitness and have finished various running events including 5k and 10k’s and half-marathon events.

"These last few months, I've developed a passion for working out and staying fit that I never had before I started to work with Alyssa. She motivates and encourages, and even in a group setting she's able to meet each individual's needs." - Kris Poquette
